The Training Wheels Come Off

Boaz finally decided that he wanted to take his training wheels off. This video was the first time that he really let his dad try to teach him and he was really excited that he was able to do it. Now just two days later, he is riding really good! He can go about 3 blocks by himself and then put his foot down when he stops rather than having someone catch him. I need to take another video today of it. It is amazing how fast kids progress when they learn something new.

Here is Boaz' Happy Dance!

Science Time

We attended a Home Schooling conference in Washington and there was a science lady there who was demonstrating how to make a "Bottle Rocket" of sorts. So when we got home the boys (all 3 of them) had to experiment with this and make their own rocket. It sounds kind of scarry, but really it is pretty safe. I think that we have decided that Lance will enjoy doing science experiments just as much as the boys will next school year!!!!

Visit from the Grandma's

Last week my Mom and Grandma Cork from Alaska came for a visit. We had beautiful weather and they were able to go to a Tee Ball game with us and also got to go to the Heirloom Rose Garden.

I have made a new photo album with all of these pictures in it for you to view them (click ont he link to the right). We had not seen Grandma Cork for almost a year so it was really nice to be able to see her again. She was especially happy to get to watch the boys play Tee Ball.

I have a slight suspicion that I might turn out looking a bit like these two!!!!

Family Vacation

We went on our annual fishing trip to the John Day River at Service Creek! Click on the link to the right to go to the photo album to view the pictures.
We had a great time! The river was higher than we had ever seen it, so it made the floating very fast and very difficult to fish in. Brandon caught one fish the whole week but it was a really big small mouth bass, so that made the trip worth it! The weather was about 20 degrees colder than it usually is so we huddled around the camp fire a lot and played a lot of card games and domino's, so it was a great time.

Jacoby learned to whittle, he really enjoyed that and thinks that he is really a big man now. He didn't even cut himself at all! Boaz cant wait until he is as old as his brother so he can learn to "Waddle" as he calls it!

I came up with a new invention that beats all S'more Recipes!

Two chocolate chip cookies warmed on a rock by the fire, with two melted marshmallows in the middle is a brownie that has been warmed in the fire and a piece of dark chocolate in the very center! All were hot and meted to perfection. I guess the extra time around the camp fire was worth it!

Xander is getting very big, he is all ready here to get on the boat to go floating down the river. Now he can say that when he was 6 months old he went down a class 3 rapid!
