Baptism

We had 3 baptisms today at the river and Jacoby was one of them, it was a wonderful bithday present for me, to have Jacoby baptized by his dad on my birthday!
Here is the video of Jacoby being baptized.

It was a very cold day compared to how the weater has been this last week. It was raining and only about 60 degrees out but it was a wonderful day to have a baptism. Jacoby started shivering the moment that he went into the water, and he was a little scared of the river, but he was very brave. What a blessing for our family and for our church!

Here are a couple of pictures also.

Huddling under a tree for the preaching before the baptisms.

Down the muddy path to the Yamhill River.

Jacoby was in a hurry to get out of the water after it was done!

Grandma Susan and Papa Al J came for the weekend to be with us for Jacoby's baptism!
Jacoby and his proud brother Boaz!

Brayden was baptized also, he came to church camp with us a few weeks ago and he was saved during camp.
Brayden's brother Zach also came to church camp and was saved during the week. Both the brothers were baptized today along with Jacoby.

Birthday Party

We had a wonderful birthday party for Jacoby yeasterday. He got to make his own birthday cake! It turned out so cute, it was a dirt cake with lots of "worms" and "dirt" and we served it with a garden tool. It turned out really neat.

To the right there is a link that you can click on to view all of the pictures from his party! Enjoy!

Jacoby & Daddy's Newest Invention

Jacoby and his Daddy are becoming famous in our neighborhood for their inventions. Jacoby comes up with the ideas and then Lance helps him make them.

This was the latest idea. Jacoby wanted a small trailer to pull behind his bike. So they built one! It worked pretty good as long as someone was sitting on it to stear it. That's where Boaz came in! They still need to figure out all of the bugs!

Pickles!

This is our first picking of our cucumbers this summer! Boaz helped me pick them and pickle them, it was a lot of fun. We have gotten 4 Quarts of pickles so far in just a week of pickling and we have hundreds more small ones that are still growing. We are able to make about a jar full every 2 days. Now we only have to wait 8 weeks before we can crack them opened and try them! Bummeer! Boaz was pretty proud of them because he was able to help me work up the soil this spring and plant the seeds an then it was really cool for him to be able to see how they grow and be able to pick them!

Heat Wave

I think that August is going to be a hot one! It is in the upper 90's today so we set up a sprinkler under the trampoline for the boys to jump on with the water coming through the net at them.

It was very refreshing, so I had to join in with them!

Our Trip to the Big City

Happy Birthday Lance!!!

We went to the big city of Redmond yesterday for Lance's Birthday. We went to the fair with Lance's parents and we had a lot of fun. We are shocked at how quickly we have adjusted to living in a small town! Here are a few pictures of the fair.
Boaz can always be found petting animals. The only animals that he was scared of were the pigs. As we were walking by one of the pigs it let out a very loud shreek and Boaz almost let out a shreek himself and wanted to run out of the pig barn.

Jacoby finally relaized what happens to the animals once they are sold at the fair so he was really bumbed. Later he asked me in a very concerned voice, "Mom, they dont sell the horses for meat do they?"

We got to see Lance's Grandma Watt's 1st place brownies that she entered in the fair, I had no idea what a Betty Crocker she is! :-)

Here is a video of Jacoby jumping with the bungy cords.

Boaz was not about to let those ropes take him up high in the air so he just jumped on the trampoline and pretended that we was going high.

All in all Lance had a great Birhtday! I added a new photo album with pictures from the fair, check them out!
